Bringing Relief to Flood Victims in Poland
Smithfield Foods believes in supporting the communities in which we operate, and that need is especially great during natural disasters. Animex, a Smithfield subsidiary, recently extended a helping hand to thousands of families who found themselves homeless after devastating floods in Poland.
During the first week of June, Animex donated over 30,000 servings of protein, mainly canned meat products and pates. Servings of meat were delivered from every Animex plant producing such products to the Polish Food Banks Federation for distribution.
We admire the strength and courage of families affected by the floods and are happy to help them persevere in the midst of such a difficult obstacle.
